What’s to come for 2018

Happy New Year!

I know I’m a bit late. The beginning of the year has been busy on the personal side. We went to Mexico for a couple weeks, and then I went to do a 5-day fasting cleanse in a health center (more on my experience later!). So here we are, heading toward the end of January already.

I have big goals for this space for 2018. Last year was a big one for me, with the redesign of the brand and blog, with my twin sister who’s joined me on the business (yay!), and with the launch of our online shop. Things are unfolding beautifully and I feel proud of where The Green Life is heading. I have a feeling 2018 will be just as important – hopefully even more. There are lots of exciting changes coming up and I hope you’ll stick around to see them!

My one-word theme for this year is abundance. This is my main focus and the word that will help me guide my actions and decisions for the next twelve months. I want to manifest abundance in all areas of my life – including this space, of course. So I’m excited to share with you what you can expect to see here in the coming weeks/months.

More content, and not just recipes

I’ve been wanting to offer more content for a long time now, and 2018 is the year it will actually happen. Because living a healthy, happy, fulfilling life goes way beyond how we eat, I want to offer more non-food articles, and inspire you to embrace a holistic lifestyle in all areas of your life. You can expect to see wellness and natural living tips, self-care practices and rituals, and articles to inspire and help you live with intention and purpose – live a life that is aligned with who you truly are and that you’re proud of. Recipes are not going anywhere, don’t worry, you’ll still get lots of them. I also want to keep on making more videos this year.

My sister Nancy is now working full-time on The Green Life with me, so she will also start contributing and writing articles. She’s an incredible writer and one of the most positive and inspiring people I know. I know her wisdom and insights will be a wonderful addition. We planned out the next few months and we have so many great topics we want to talk about. I hope you’re excited for this and I can’t wait to get your feedback!

A revamped Weekend Links series

I know many of you loved my Weekend Links series, where I shared on the weekend a simple recipe and some links of articles, blogs, recipes, books, podcasts, and products that inspired me throughout the week. I loved that series too and have decided to re-launch it a bit differently. The series will now have its own space, meaning that they’re won’t be any recipe (the recipes will be posted on their own during the week). Each weekly list will go up on the blog every Friday.

More products in the shop

We launched our online shop last month with a small collection of items, but we’re excited to add a lot more products this year. This means more kitchen accessories, but also products related to wellness, holistic living, and self-care rituals. We’ll be adding a category menu very soon, so you’ll be able to search products more easily. If there are specific things or types of products you’d like to see in the shop, I’d love to know! Share them in the comments below.

The launch of a natural beauty and skincare line (!!!)

You probably didn’t see that one coming, did you? I’m announcing it now for the first time and I can barely contain my excitement. This project is so dear to my heart, I have no words to express how proud and excited I am about it. We’ve been working for many months on the creation of our dream natural skincare line. We’re finalizing our products as I’m typing this, and oh.my.gosh. I think you’re going to love them. Each product is handmade, 100% natural, vegan, non-toxic, and simply wonderful. We’re working with a dear friend of mine Marie-Ève, who’s a gifted naturopath, herbalist, yoga teacher and overall amazing human being, to create this exquisite line of products. If all goes well, we should be launching it in early spring, so stay tuned!

A brand new studio space

Ahhhh. This one is so exciting too! I’ve been working from home and taking pictures in a tiny crowded space for over two years now. So it’s finally time to move the headquarters into an actual working space, in Montreal. We want the space to be inspiring and beautiful. It will become our office, my photography studio, my kitchen and the space for our products and all things related to the shop. Down the road, I’d love to use it to run workshops, and maybe even throw some fun collaborative events. We’re looking for a space right now and are hoping to find our dream spot very soon.

Exclusive content for my community

I want to put more energy into building an engaged community this year and offer my subscribers exclusive content, as a little thank you for your support and your presence here. In the next few weeks, I will start sharing new, exclusive content that will hopefully be inspiring and valuable to you. As a subscriber, you will receive an exclusive seasonal recipe each month, a lovely downloadable calendar, and lots of other great freebies to help and support you on your wellness journey. My biggest wish is that you make your health and wellbeing a priority, and I hope these emails will inspire you to take concrete actions and become the person you want to be. Sign up now, the first newsletter will go out very soon!

I hope you’re as excited as I am for all these changes! I’d love to hear your feedback, comments, thoughts, so please let me know below!:)
