Half-spoon, half-spatula, this wooden kitchen tool originally from Scotland was used in the fifteenth century to stir porridge. Redesigned for modern living, it has become a wonderful all-in-one cooking tool.
It’s perfect for stirring, flipping, scrambling, sauteing or spreading anything you can think of. We love using it to saute vegetables in the pan, to stir our morning oatmeal and even as beautiful salad servers.

Each spurtle is handmade from natural wood, so small variations in grain, colour or shape are to be expected. You will receive a unique piece, similar to the ones pictured.
Each spurtle has been sealed with food-safe wood wax made of beeswax and mineral oil. Apply some wax on a regular basis to preserve and protect the wood, and your spurtle will last a lifetime. Hand wash only. Do not put in the dishwasher.
