We literally fell in love with this knife from Pallarès Solsona and it has become one of our favourite everyday tools in the kitchen. Pretty, compact, sharp, this is the knife that is always on the counter. The 4-inch blade is perfect for slicing small fruits, cherry tomatoes and mushrooms, while we use the 5-inch for tomatoes, avocado, cheese, pastries and galettes.
Its carbon steel blade remains sharp for a long time and naturally develops patina as it ages, adding to the beauty and character of these knives. Unlike the stainless steel kitchen knives, carbon steel knives require a bit more care. Always make sure to keep your knife dry, wiping it after each use to avoid rusting.
Each blade is hand-fashioned from high-quality carbon steel, set with a boxwood handle, and stamped by hand.

Carbon steel is a hard steel. It stays sharpened longer than stainless steel, but it also requires more love and care. Do not soak in water. Hand wash only, and quickly wipe and store in a dry place. (The blade will rust if not dried carefully, so it is very important to dry it after each use). Over time, a charming patina will develop on the blade, adding a beautiful old-fashioned look to your knife.
