Hi friends! I’m just popping in quickly today to share the recipe for these (addicting) maca cookie dough balls.
These cute little balls are ready in no time and are so delicious and satisfying. They taste like cookie dough, but are actually not bad for you. They’re perfect for an afternoon snack or a quick healthy dessert. You can even top your smoothies with one or two or these for a special morning treat.
I like to add Organika maca powder to these little balls as it adds a lovely caramel-like flavour (it goes so well with the almonds, cashew butter, and maple syrup!), but also for its added health benefits; maca is great for mood and hormone balancing, helps with energy, and can even help to manage stress.

Maca Cookie Dough Balls (Vegan + Gluten-Free)
Makes 14-16 balls
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/2 cup cashew butter
- 2 tbsp maca powder
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 cup chopped dark chocolate (vegan if needed)
Blend all the ingredients except the chocolate in a food processor to get a sticky dough. Then add the chopped dark chocolate and pulse a few more times to combine.
Form balls with your hands, and place in the fridge to set for about 10 minutes (or enjoy right away). These balls can be stored in an air-tight container for 2-3 days. I like to keep them at room temperature for a softer texture, but you can also store them in the fridge.
